JVS' Veterans First team joins Rep. Karen Bass and Mayor Villaraigosa at Veterans Dialogue held at USC
Recently returned veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan, along with a range of service providers met with lawmakers on November 9th to discuss the issues of jobs, homelessness and the need for support services in light of the budget crisis in Washington DC.
John Tyler, a case manager in JVS' Veterans First program and a veteran of two tours in Iraq, had an opportunity to speak with Rep. Bass about the challenges our clients are facing and possible solutions to streamline the job search for veterans.
