Recycling & Resource Management
Interested in a career in the growing Recycling & Resource Management industry?
In partnership with Santa Monica College, JVS' Marina del Rey WorkSource Center is now recruiting for this new and exciting program in Recycling & Resource Management. For more information contact Valerie Cruts at (310) 309-6000 x248 or vcruts@jvsla.org.
The Recycling & Resource Management Certificate Program is designed to provide formal training for individuals interested in working in the green jobs sector. Green jobs have grown by 3% compared to 1% in overall jobs created in California in the last few years.
As more cities and businesses develop sustainability and zero-waste policies, there is an increased need for trained staff who can properly manage organizational resources and initiate programs. This training program will provide students with the resources they need to compete in the green jobs marketplace.
Certificate Courses will emphasize Recycling & Resource Management from a variety of perspectives.
Students will learn about resource management and how it impacts cultural, community and business practices. Courses will cover governmental and organizational policies, practices and procedures, as well as best management practices.
This project was funded by a grant awarded under the President's Community Based Job Training Grants, as implemented by the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration. Grant number CB-20565-10-60. The California Works Alliance is an equal opportunity employer program. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities. We provide veterans' priority services under the Veterans Act.
